Solid Equipment Case
I purchased this to transport four pistols to and from the range. To get an idea of the kind of space available, currently I have a Sig Sauer P226 MK25, Beretta 96A1 (with tac light), and two magazines in the top layer of foam. The bottom will house a S&W M&P9c, Walther PPK, and Ruger Blackhawk 6.5 inch revolver. I will try to post some pictures of the product as well.
This case will arrive with four pieces of foam inside. There is a thin layer of foam laying on the bottom of the case to line the plastic floor of the case. On top of that, there are two layers of pre-diced foam about 1.25 inches thick and a forth layer of foam resides in the lid and seems to be glued to the roof so it doesn't fall down when the case is opened. The foam is easily customized using a variety of knives and scissors depending on how tight you need your angles to be. For pistols, I've found that an exacto-knife works well to cut out the shapes and then scissors do a good job to bevel the edges...

Great Microphone Case!
Have a couple of Neumann TLM 102 mics. Never give travel or transport a second thought. Secure, cubed foam for custom fit, lightweight..... very tricksy!
Excellent Quality - Glad that I have the Cube Version
Advertised dimensions are exactly accurate (internal dimensions). Quality hinges, quality closing clasp, light weight, impressive in appearance.
I was on the fence between Pelican and SKB. The SKB was 10% less expensive, and I am very happy with the purchase. I plan to purchase additional sizes.
