Precisely as imagined
The Oakley Factory Pilot gloves I ordered fit correctly (did not have to order one size up as some other purchasers have previously indicated); the quality of the materials and workmanship were first-rate; and the little vent holes in the knuckles prevented my hands from overheating. The overall effect is the gloves make your hands feel as if they are armored, yet the gloves weigh just a few ounces. The finger dexterity is not impaired and the Pittards leather permits feeling/grasping small objects, dials, controls, etc. I purchased the black gloves and will be ordering the desert tan version soon. The company's customer service answered my questions within the hour I emailed them. The gloves arrived well ahead of the estimated delivery date--another plus.

One tactical pistol class and it started breaking down
COOL FACTOR: through the roof. i love the styling.
FIT: fits like a glove, but the armored knuckles' edges were digging into my right knuckles. Maybe it's just my anatomical structure.
DURABILITY: way below average.
I bought it this pair so i have something to wear at an Israeli Special Forces Counter Terror School. Although it was a 3 day course, I only used it for 2 days. It started breaking down on the first day.
The Israeli carry technique involves NOT having a round in the chamber, therefore, the drills that we were doing all weekend was drawing the weapon and putting one in the chamber. Cocking the slide of my semi-auto repeatedly did not fare well with the lower part of my left index finger. The rubber dots were falling off and eventually tore a hole through the gloves.
I figured this would happen eventually, but within the first day? c'mon now!

Not durable.
This model has low durability. Fabric thores easily between big and index fingers, then gripper dots start to fall off. I've never put them to heavy use, seems to be they are more situated for occasional uses.
