True night sight
I've had many Meprolight night sights on many different guns, this is the same quality as all the others. The shelf life of the actually glow is seven years, meaning in seven years it will be half as bright. In total darkness is where they really shine. In heavy lit area's you'll have to rely on the white dot that surrounds it. It's somewhat small, but with the ghost ring on the rear it's still fast and accurate. Installation took less then five minutes, knocked out the old sight with a punch, put this one in the same way with some lock tight. Have put about 50 rounds threw it and it's still holding tight. If you're looking for a true night sight that works in total darkness and every other shade of light, then this will fit the bill.

Well made, fit perfect, decent price.
Compared to some other brands of a similar product, this was by far the best price. Quality is excellent. Installation simple and fit was perfect.
nice and bright
fit right in the front sight base, glows bright at night, now the 590 is set for when things go bump in the night
