this rod holder extender is up to the task, very well made a lot heavier duty than the picture implies. It holds the rod holder up high enough so that the butt of the fishing rod doesn't hit the kayak.

this is what i have been looking for , it brings your rod up off the boats deck and makes it easier to handle.
Great product
Easy to install and has a nice strong action made from tough materials. Couldn't ask for more. I strongly recommend.
